IMEC (International Mathematics Olympiad)
IMEC (International Mathematics Olympiad) is from the UK, nearly 30 countries and regions such
as UK, US, Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam (and so
on) participate in IMEC every year.
The Olympiad will be in two rounds (Preliminary round and Final round).
Students in the pre-selection will be eligible to participate in the Final Round. The key competence
tested by IMEC is logical combination, not just pure knowledge of formulas.
Aiming to encourage students to study in math and critical thinking, IMEC team decided to conduct
an Olympiad of International Mathematics Exam Center to boost the motivation of both teachers
and students who have been bored, lost goal-oriented character and stimulus for study under this
difficult global pandemic times, when most of the Olympiads and competitions are forced to be
canceled or postponed until unknown time. The IMEC team also hopes this Olympiad will help all
types of schools to keep their students engaged and to observe their mathematics education in an
international arena.
